Our Story

Artesana Love shares the love and celebration of the Andes in South America, its vibrant millenarian culture, and our commitment to bring you the beautifully crafted art created in the soulful way that indigenous artisans in the highlands interact with the world.

We bring you handcrafted pieces made with care, using natural materials and traditional techniques passed down through generations. Our products reflect the joy and heart of Andean life, with bright colors, rich textures, and sustainable fibers like wool, alpaca, and toquilla straw, all gentle on your body and kind to the planet.

It was created in 2022 by a Peruvian mom in love with the Andean civilization, folklore traditions, rhythm and the vibrant culture still alive since Pre-Incan times

Our Process

As a female-run business we seek harmony and aspire to maintain the natural balance between the beauty of the Andean heritage, the functional needs of a modern woman, and creating fair opportunities for our indigenous artisan partners.

In this cooperation, we co-design and offer you uniquely crafted art that is skillfully prepared following traditional techniques carried by generations of Quechua, Aymara indigenous communities.

These products are made through ethical practices that compensate artisans fairly and uses locally available materials when possible.

The Artisans

We've developed a relationship with ten different artisan families or female-run cooperatives in Peru, visited their workshops to understand their talents, needs and have developed a respectful relationship with them. Our partners are located in five different Peruvian regions Cuzco, Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Piura, and Lima, each focused on different techniques, and specialties to work with natural fibers.

Our goal is to continue placing orders throughout the year which allows them to sustain their families, and their local economies while maintaining their culture and traditions.
